Lansdowne Police Department News

The following Lansdowne Police Officers were recognized at the regular meeting of Borough Council on Wednesday, September 20, 2006.

Sgt. James D. McCaughan and Officer Kevil A. Kienzle were recipients of Letters of Commendation for their actions on the night of July 7, 2006 in which they arrested a wanted felon who attempted to flee from police after a vehicle stop and was in possession of a large quantity of drugs and two loaded handguns. Both officers wrestled the suspect to the ground as he was attempting to pull the handguns from his waistband. Pictured: Sgt McCaughan, Off. Kienzle and Mayor Young.
