On April 7th, 2007 at 0041hrs, Sgt. McCaughan of the Lansdowne Borough Police Department, while on routine patrol observed suspicious activity occurring inside a motor vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Gladstone Train Station. Upon investigation, Shannon Callaghan, 21yrs old of the 3800 block of Anne St. in Drexel Hill and Thomas O'Malley 29yrs old of the unit block of Bennett St. in Springfield were taken into custody and charged with drug possession and related offenses.
On April 4th, 2007 at 1735hrs an attempted strong arm robbery was reported to the Lansdowne Police Department. The incident occurred on S. Lansdowne Ave. near the train station. The victim was approached by three to four subjects. One of the subjects, a black male juvenile, attempted to grab the victim's purse. The victim was able to retain possession of her purse and the actor fled on foot. This incident is currently being investigated.
On March 29th, 2007 at 0032hrs, the Lansdowne Police Department assisted the Yeadon Police Department with a founded stabbing that occurred on the 400 block of Maple Ave. in Yeadon Borough. The victim was transported by ambulance to Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital. The actor was taken into custody a short time later on Union Ave., near Bartram Ave.
On March 29th, 2007 at 0108hrs, the Lansdowne Police Department was requested to assist the East Lansdowne Police Department on a traffic stop on the 700 Block of Baltimore Ave. Responding Lansdowne officers assisted taking one of the passengers of the vehicle into custody for an outstanding warrant.
On March 25th, 2007 at 0210hrs while on routine patrol, Officer Craig of the Lansdowne Police Department arrested Herbert King of the 200 block of Windermere Ave. for disorderly conduct after he was observed by the officer relieving himself on the side of the Wawa store located at the intersection of N. Lansdowne and E. Stratford Ave.
On March 24th, 2007 a gold in color Saturn was observed running the red light at the intersection of Lansdowne Ave. and Baltimore Ave. A traffic stop was initiated and upon investigation, the operator of the vehicle was arrested for DUI and related traffic offenses. (Name withheld due to paperwork not being sent to court for public record as of the time of this writing.)
On March 23rd, 2007 at 0153hrs a traffic stop was conducted on N. Lansdowne Ave. by the Lansdowne Police which resulted in the arrest of Nikki Laughlin a 28yr old female from the 1300 block of Edgehill Rd Darby PA for DUI and related traffic offenses.
On March 22nd, 2007 at 1800hrs there was a report of a disturbance on a SEPTA transit bus. The bus was stopped by responding Lansdowne officers on Marshall Rd. at Coverly Rd. The disorderly subject was removed from the bus without incident. No charges have been filed at this time.
On March 22nd, 2007 at 1550hrs a juvenile female was arrested for disorderly conduct by the Lansdowne Police Department on S. Lansdowne Ave. after she was observed yelling profanities at a passing police car while the officer was on routine patrol.
On March 22nd, 2007 at 0840hrs, a motor vehicle accident occurred near the intersection of Richards Ave. and Eldon Ave. in the borough of Lansdowne. Responding officers observed that a vehicle ran over a stop sign. This sign did impale the gas tank of the striking vehicle, causing a fuel spill onto the highway. Company 19 did respond and was able to contain the spill.
On March 20th, 2007 at 1127hrs the Lansdowne Police Department responded to a report of a fight at the Penn Wood High School. Upon investigation, five juvenile students were arrested at the high school and all were charged with disorderly conduct.
