On March 19th, 2007 at 1212hrs, the Lansdowne Police Department responded to the Penn Wood High School for a report of a threat. In custody at the school was Raheem White, an 18yr old student from the 200 block of Wabash Ave in the borough. He was involved in a disturbance inside a classroom in the school when he threatened to, "...shoot up the school." White was taken into custody by the Lansdowne Police Department and charged with terroristic threats and related offenses.
On March 16th, 2007 at 0410hrs, the Lansdowne Police Department responded to 83 S. Lansdowne Ave. for a report of a loud party. At that location, officers came in contact with Wayne Burgents III 34yrs old of Collingdale Pa. Burgents was highly intoxicated and was taken into custody by the officers. He was charged with public drunkenness.
On March 15th, 2007 at 1946hrs, the Lansdowne Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Windermere and Bryn Mawr Aves. Pursuant to an investigation, Michelle Marusco 39yrs old of Linwood Pa. was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury and related traffic offenses.
On 3-15-07 at 1730hrs, the Lansdowne Police Department responded to a call for a disturbance on the Route 109 SEPTA bus at Wycombe and LaCrosse Aves. Pursuant to an investigation, Jason Burrell 36yrs old of Chester City Pa. was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on the bus.
On March 13th, 2007 at 0847hrs, the Lansdowne Police Department responded to a report of shots being fired on the 200 block of Wabash Ave. Once on location, responding officers located a shooting victim a short distance away from that location. At least eleven shell casings were recovered from the scene. An investigation is ongoing and an arrest will likely be made in this case. The victim is expected to survive.
On March 11th, 2007 at 0642hrs, the Lansdowne Police Department received a report of a reckless driver. Pursuant to an investigation, Luis Alberto Villegas Javier 27yrs old of Upper Darby was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses.
